“Come in with an idea and you will be given opportunities”

Marlous Valk – International Project Manager Cooperative Systems

What I do and why I love it

As International Project Manager Cooperative Systems I work at the research department where we develop new technologies that improve traffic flow. I ensure that different disciplines come together to achieve our goals.

Next to that I spend one day a week making Dynniq more attractive to young employees. A great opportunity that arose after I came up with a plan. That’s typically Dynniq, show initiative and you’ll be given a chance to make it happen. That’s what I love about working at Dynniq.

My career path at Dynniq

In 2013 I got my start in a traineeship, moving to Control Systems by my second year. That’s where I familiarised myself with all the phases of our projects. From contracts, risk and environment management, through to execution. I learned a lot, from the office to the building site with technicians. That led me to my current role.

Making the difference

My work ensures that I always have a great story at birthday parties. For example we’re researching a green wave for cyclists in Groningen. People love that. Personally, I make a difference by bringing people together, different disciplines, points of view, backgrounds, to achieve great results.
